Over the years HAN has built up a loyal local following of business customers and residents and is renowned as the place to go in Surrey for a great night of Korean food and Karaoke parties with friends, family and work colleagues.
HAN is the perfect destination for Hen nights, Stag do’s and birthday celebrations, with a variety of private rooms available for hire for small, medium or large groups from as little as 3 to as many as 80 people. The entire state-of-the-art venue can also be hired in advance for up to 150 guests.
HAN is situated in the heart of New Malden less than a minute’s walk from the train station in the ground floor of the Apex Tower.
Since 2008 the concept of the restaurant has been to deliver an authentic taste of Korea within authentically designed traditional restaurant. Four beautiful traditional Korean pavilions, or Jeong Ja, made from wood and stone create a warm stylish dining area where you can to sit, relax and enjoy your meals.
The style of the restaurant floor illustrates Korean’s love of nature through the integration of natural materials.
If you are a huge barbeque fan, and miss the fun of BBQ in winters, han is an excellent place. We started with Soju and beer, the combination tasted nice. We went for Mul Mandu(dumplings), Kanpoongi(batter fried chicken with garlic) both were very good. We loved Kanpoongi so much that we ordered it twice. Then we moved on to the barbeque and tried the Dak Bulgogi (chicken) and Dwaeji Bulgogi (pork belly). The experience of barbequeing meat on your own was so satisfying. The pork belly was best tasting. Finally, your Korean food experience is not complete if you don't try the Bibimbab. It is very comforting and tasty. We shared one Bibimbab amongst two people after all the starters and meat. Excellent experience I would say and makes me want to go to South Korea more after this visit. Do book a table before you go and if you are planning a lunch visit, their kitchen closes at 2:30. Enjoy!
